What We Offer
Every effect is available as a standalone booking or combined with DJ, MC and celebrant services. When the same person controls the music and triggers the effects, the timing lands exact, not approximate.
The "dancing on clouds" effect, also called walking on clouds or dancing on a cloud. Dry ice sublimates in warm water to produce a thick, low-lying white cloud that rolls across the dance floor and surrounds the couple during the first dance. The effect is run to sit low across the floor, typically around knee height, and creates a dreamlike visual that photographs and films beautifully.
Best for: Dry ice first dance, ceremony exit, surprise entrance
Cold sparks (also called sparkler machines) produce tall, shimmering cascades of sparks. The machines are designed to heat a granular titanium-based compound electrically to throw a shower of sparks, without an open flame or an explosive charge. A trained Party Central operator runs them with a clear working radius, and your venue approves the effect before the day. The visual impact is dramatic, two columns of cascading sparks reaching 1.5 to 2 metres high, flanking the couple during their first dance or grand entrance.

CO2 cannons fire dramatic bursts of liquefied CO2 gas that instantly vaporise into a cloud of white mist on contact with the air. The effect is immediate and high-energy, and works best with DJ lighting: the beams cut through the CO2 cloud to produce a striking visual. It suits the moment a dance floor peaks, or a key musical moment in the reception set.

Professional-grade bubble machines produce a continuous flow of large, long-lasting bubbles for ceremony exits, cocktail hour or garden spaces. A bubble exit is one of the most joyful, low-barrier alternatives to confetti: guests of every age enjoy it, it needs no cleanup, and the photos come out beautiful in outdoor settings on the South Coast and in Southern Highlands venues.

A dry ice first dance puts a low white cloud across the dance floor, so the two of you look like you are dancing on clouds. A dry ice machine builds the cloud as your song starts, and it rolls out around your feet while your guests watch from the edge of the floor.
The cloud photographs and films well, and it works with any song. It sits low, so guests still see the two of you. Party Central times it to your first-dance track so the cloud arrives as the music lifts.
Dry ice is included in the $990 standard special FX package. The same package covers two cold spark machines for your entrance and four for the first dance. Extra spark activations and CO2 guns are quoted as add-ons.
A trained Party Central operator runs the dry ice machine and handles the dry ice. Party Central carries $20 million public liability insurance that specifically covers special effects. Many suppliers do not carry it, and venues ask for it.
Your venue always decides which effects are allowed. Party Central confirms the plan with the venue before the day, so you know where you stand before the night.
Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide. The gas is heavier than air, so it settles low across the floor, which creates the dancing-on-clouds look and is why the room needs ventilation. A trained operator handles the dry ice and keeps it in a secure container away from guests. Skin contact causes frostbite, so it is never handled with bare hands.
Why It Works
Special effects are only as powerful as their timing. A cold spark machine triggered three seconds before the musical peak, or three seconds after, loses most of its impact. When the DJ operating the effects is the same person building to that moment with the music, the coordination is perfect.
