DJ Hire, Wollongong & the Illawarra
Party Central provides wedding DJ and MC services across Wollongong and the Illawarra, backed by 24 years behind the decks and more than 1,200 events. Chris Lee started DJing in Wollongong at sixteen, has worked residencies across the Illawarra, played festivals of ten thousand people and opened for Savage, Sneaky Sound System and the Potbelleez — and now builds the night around your crowd rather than a fixed playlist.
Anyone can queue the songs you listed. The job starts when the room does something you did not plan for.
A dance floor tells you what it wants roughly thirty seconds before it empties. People stop making eye contact with each other, a group drifts toward the bar, the back half of the room sits down. A DJ watching for that changes direction before the floor clears. A DJ looking at a laptop notices once everyone has gone.
That is the difference between a night that peaks twice and a night where you rebuild the crowd three times from scratch. It comes from years of rooms rather than a bigger music library.

Most Wollongong bookings take both, and the reason is timing. When your MC and DJ are different people, every change in the run sheet needs relaying, and it gets relayed late.
The same person on both means the music is already building as the speeches wrap, the floor opens on the right song rather than the next one, and a delay gets absorbed instead of announced. It also means one point of contact for your venue coordinator, which they will appreciate more than you expect.
Chris also works as celebrant, so all three roles can sit with one person. See the Celebrant + MC + DJ package.
Weddings are the bulk of the work, but the Illawarra rooms above cover a wider range. Corporate nights, milestone birthdays, school formals and Christmas parties all run through the same setup.
Full lighting rig, wireless microphones for speeches, and special effects if you want them. Five DJs work under the Party Central name including Chris, with James, Aki, Matt and Lachlan on the roster. Each has more than five years and over a hundred weddings behind them, and Chris matches the DJ to your crowd rather than assigning whoever is free, so a 21st and a 60th do not get the same person.
Rooms Party Central works across Wollongong and the northern Illawarra, from wedding venues to pubs and clubs.
Each room has its own curfew, power setup and in-house AV. Chris checks all three with the venue before the night rather than finding out during bump-in.

Yes. Corporate nights, milestone birthdays, school formals, Christmas parties and pub and club functions all run through the same setup as the weddings. The rig, the lighting and the microphones are the same; only the music and the run sheet change.
Yes, and most Wollongong couples book both together. One person holding the mic and the music means the set is already building as the speeches finish, and a late run sheet gets absorbed rather than announced. Your venue coordinator also deals with one contact instead of two.
Both work. You give Chris the must-plays, the do-not-plays and a sense of the crowd, and he builds from there. The planning happens before the day so nobody is taking requests off a phone at the back of the room.
Five hours of DJ is $1,200, extra hours are $150 each, and adding MC to a DJ booking is $500. MC on its own is $800. Travel across Wollongong and the Illawarra is included, and the Celebrant + MC + DJ package is $2,990.
