Kiama & Gerringong
Kiama sits twenty-five minutes south of our Illawarra base. Your quote carries no separate travel fee, and Chris has already worked most of the rooms you are looking at. He has run over 1,200 events since 2002 and married more than 200 couples.
Most Kiama couples marry in one place and eat in another. You pick the headland for the view and the room for the roof, and the drive between them is where your afternoon disappears.
Book one person for all three roles and that drive stops costing you. Chris walks off your ceremony knowing the run sheet has slipped eight minutes, then trims the pre-dinner set to absorb it. Nobody waits in a car park for a handover no one arranged.
You brief him once, over coffee, months out. You call one number on the day. Hiring a celebrant, MC and DJ separately across the Illawarra runs about $3,500. Our package is $2,990.

Plenty of Kiama couples marry on a clifftop or a beach. Three things about those sites will shape your day, and you want to know them now.
Start with wind. On an exposed headland, an unshielded microphone will lose your vows before they reach the third row. Chris shields every ceremony mic and sets the speakers to work with the prevailing direction.
Wind also picks your effects for you. Cold sparks scatter in a breeze, so that moment belongs indoors. Bubble machines hold up outside and give you something to throw at the coastal venues that ban confetti.
Then there is light. A late-afternoon coastal ceremony loses it fast, which sets both your photography window and how hard you push to get to the reception.
Take one service or several. Most Kiama couples take two.
Chris writes each ceremony from scratch. He ranks in the top five celebrants for the South Coast and Southern Highlands in the Australian Wedding Awards, and he handles the legal paperwork, the NOIM and the rehearsal. See the wedding celebrant page for how the ceremony process works.
24 years behind the decks, starting at 16, including festival sets and support slots for Savage, Sneaky Sound System, Potbelleez and more. As MC, Chris keeps the run sheet tight and reads the room from dinner through to the last song. More on the DJ and MC page.
Five booths: the classic mirror, modern mirror, 360 video booth, Boomabooth and Glambot, with instant prints from the mirror booths and personalised overlays on all of them. Compare them on the photo booth page.
Dry ice for the first dance, cold sparks, CO2 cannons and bubbles. A trained operator runs all of it, covered by $20 million public liability insurance. See special FX.
Alex shoots candid coverage across the Illawarra and South Coast. See wedding photography.
Kiama and Gerringong are local runs for us. Whatever the travel costs, you see it in the quote before you commit.
For a reception with DJ, MC and effects, Chris arrives two to three hours ahead to build and test the rig. Ceremony only, he gets there about an hour before. Tell us if your ceremony and reception sit at different addresses, because that changes both the setup plan and the quote.
A 25 per cent deposit holds your date. Peak season runs October to April, and most 2027 peak weekends have already gone.
These are venues Party Central works at across Kiama and Gerringong. If yours is not listed, ask when you enquire.
Chris contacts your venue coordinator before the day to confirm access times, power, noise curfews and whether special effects are permitted. Most of these venues have worked with Party Central before.

Get in Touch
Ready to check availability for your South Coast wedding? Send a message and Chris will respond with pricing and availability, usually the same day.
Travel to Kiama and Gerringong is included in the quoted price. Party Central is based in the Illawarra, roughly twenty-five minutes north, so these are local bookings rather than travel jobs. Any travel component for more remote locations is always shown upfront in your quote rather than added later.
Yes, and it is the most common arrangement here. Because the same person runs the ceremony and the reception, the transition between the two is planned as one timeline rather than handed between vendors. Mention both addresses when you enquire so the setup and travel time are built into the quote.
Cold sparks are safe indoors, but a breeze scatters them, so they do not suit exposed coastal or clifftop sites. On the Kiama coastline a breeze will carry the sparks where you did not aim them. Bubble machines are the better outdoor option, and cold sparks can be saved for an indoor first dance or cake cut instead.
As early as you have a date, ideally before the venue is locked in. October to April is peak season across the Illawarra and South Coast, and most peak 2027 weekends are already booked. A 25 per cent deposit secures the date.
